Privacy Policy

EVN Macedonia, as well as the companies where it is the sole/majority partner (hereinafter EVN) respects your right to privacy. EVN has a serious approach to the protection of your personal data and therefore adheres to the fulfillment of legal obligations for data protection.

EVN reserves the right to change the privacy policy on the basis of legal changes or on the basis of technical improvement of the systems. The current version of EVN's privacy policy is always available on evn.mk.

Processing of personal data

EVN processes (collects, records, organizes, stores, deletes, etc.) only those personal data that are in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Personal Data Protection, and are obtained within the framework of business cooperation or for fulfillment of contractual obligations. We additionally process publicly available data obtained from publicly available collections and address books. By personal data we mean data that directly or indirectly refer to a natural person, and by which it can be identified.

Personal data that are processed in EVN are: name and surname, address, contact data (e-mail, telephone number), data from the contract (PIN), data from the devices (user number, number of metering point, meter status), i.e. data with which we are obliged to fulfill the legal obligations to the users. Additionally we can process data as a transaction account number, but this data is used for a specific purpose of payment of funds and will not be stored for further use.
 

Purposes of processing personal data

We process personal data for the following purposes and in accordance with the following regulations:

  • Processing of personal data based on a given written consent by the user in accordance with Article 10 paragraph 1 line 1 of the LPDP. This consent is given by the user for one or more specific processing purposes and may be withdrawn at any time at the request of the user.
  • Processing of personal data for fulfillment of contractual obligations in accordance with Article 10 paragraph 1 line 2 of the LPDP. This agreement is based on a concluded contract, in which the user is the contracting party, i.e. it is necessary to take actions at the request of the user before entering into the contract.
  • Processing of personal data for fulfillment of the legal obligation of EVN in accordance with Article 10 paragraph 1 line 3 of the LPDP. EVN is subject to legal obligations when processing the personal data of its users. These obligations are presented in:

Sharing personal data

EVN can share your data with third parties only if it is necessary to fulfill the contractual or legal obligations, to insure our legitimate interests or within the already given consent by the user. Your data can be submitted to:

  • organizations for which you have submitted your written consent
  • personal data processor, with whom EVN has concluded a cooperation agreement (eg. mail for delivery of invoices and letters, measurement of service satisfaction, IT maintenance services, etc.)
  • bodies of state power, i.e. state bodies and institutions established in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia or other law

Any sharing of personal data of users in EVN and outside EVN is done in accordance with LPDP, i.e. all technical and organizational measures are taken to protect against possible risk of unauthorized access to data.
 

Storage of personal data

Personal data are stored for the duration of the cooperation between the user and EVN, i.e. while there is a certain legal procedure or other process due to which the data would be subject to processing. Personal data is stored only for the specific purpose of processing.
 

Personal data protection

EVN applies appropriate technical and organizational measures for protection of personal data, protection against accidental or illegal destruction of personal data, or their accidental loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure and access and protection against any illegal processing.

Only persons with access authorization have access to personal data. Notwithstanding all the measures taken, it must be noted that no data transmission over the Internet can be completely secure and no absolute protection of any information transmitted to or from our website (application) can be guaranteed.
 

Right of access

The user has the right to request from EVN:

  • access to his/her personal data or information which personal data EVN processes, i.e. which categories of personal data
  • the purpose for which it processes them,
  • correction of personal data
  • restriction of the processing of personal data, if the personal data are processed in accordance with Article 10 paragraph 1 line 1
  • right to delete personal data (right to be forgotten) if personal data are no longer needed for processing or have been illegally processed.

The request is submitted in e-form to the addresses [email protected] or [email protected]. If the user thinks that certain rights are not fulfilled or are endangered, he can contact the Agency for Personal Data Protection.
 

Profiling

EVN does not perform automatic processing of personal data for the purpose of assessing the personal aspects of the user, analysis or forecasting of certain conditions or activities, in accordance with Article 26 of the LPDP.
