EVN Macedonia has been awarding scholarships to both male and female students from energy-related study programmes from the faculties of electrical engineering. More than 10 years, EVN was the first energy company to start awarding scholarships to students from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering & Information Technologies and the University of Ss Cyril and Methodius. So far, the Company has awarded more than 50 scholarships and some of the scholarship holders have managed to build a successful professional career at EVN. These activities certainly help increase the interest for study programmes supported by EVN year after year, thus helping increase the number of professionals who are undoubtedly the future of the energy sector in the country.
In addition, after the opening of the Exhibition Center “Matka”, some of the participants have been additionally hired to host educational tours at the museum.
Scholarships are awarded on equal footing and based on equal treatment for all, irrespective of their gender, religion, ethnical background, race, disability pr political affiliation.
The objective of the programme is to motivate young people to pursue education in the energy-related sector and at the same time, to help develop human capital and its quality in this particular area. Potential scholarship candidates are required to be talented male and female students who have successfully started their studies at faculties offering electrical engineering and energy-related profiles and who have met the requirements set.
Eligibility Criteria:
- male or female students from the technical universities
- students enrolled at any study years, including first-year students
- students who have passed the exams as prescribed for their respective study year
- average grade

The scholarship programme LOST is designed for both female and male students coming from low-income families enrolled at any of the electrotechnical faculties in the country. Through this programme, EVN allocates MKD 10,000 per month per participant and is designed so participants can gain knowledge through on-the-job learning, mentor support, as well as personal and professional development.
Eligibility criteria:
- students from the faculties of electrical engineering who enrolled for the first time in I, II, III and IV year of the 2024/2025 academic year winter semester,
- students must be from a low monthly income family (within the family, parents/guardians and the candidate, the gross amount of 800,448.00 denars per year on all grounds for 2023 should not be exceeded,
- students who are not beneficiaries of another scholarship or loan.
