If a customer suspects whether their electricity meter works properly, they can file a request for electricity meter performance attestation.
To check meter’s performance, customers are required to file a request (MKAX033) to the email address [email protected] or at the closest Customer Energy Center (CEC), every business day from 07:30 hrs to 15:30 hrs.
Competent services will draft an invoice for the service requested based on the official Service Pricelist, and the request will be realized once the fee for the service is duly paid by the customer.
Please note that the act of filing a request for meter attestatoion (certification performance test) does not postpone the payment of electricity invoices and they need to be duly paid.
Customers have the option of selecting to have the certification performance test done by:
- Only by EVN or
- By EVN in the presence of a representative from the Bureau of Metrology.
Once a proof of payment for the requested service is submitted, an order for replacement of the meter is issued, based on which the meter in question is dismantled and is brought to a testing facility where the certification attestation test is conducted.
If the test reveals that the meter is not working properly, the funds paid for the service are refunded to the customer and electricity invoices are adjusted accordingly.
