Electricity Distribution completed the first phase of the project for replacement of the overhead lines with an underground network on the str. "Gavril Konstantinovikj" in the Skopje neighborhood of Lisiche. The middle-voltage distribution grid has been completely reconstructed, and in the second phase, which is ongoing, work activities are being carried out on the low-voltage grid.
The Chairman of the Management Board of EVN Macedonia, Mr. Wolfgang Maier, and the Mayor of the Municipality of Aerodrom, Mr. Timcho Mucunski, visited and inspected the field.
"With this project, we enable an even more reliable and stable supply of electricity for our customers, as well as a greater capacity for connecting new households and industrial facilities. After the full completion of the work activities on this street, the company will continue with the realization of other investment projects more broadly in the municipality of Aerodrom." said Mr. Maier.
"The fruitful cooperation with EVN Macedonia gave visible results on the field and in record time. Residents' safety has been increased, and street lighting has been fixed. The underground grid provided even more space to the municipality, which can be used for other purposes in order to invest and make life easier for our citizens," said Mr. Mucunski.
EVN Macedonia works daily on the modernization and reconstruction of the distribution grid throughout the country. This year, the company plans to invest around 74 million euros in improving the overall quality of electricity distribution and supply, as well as customer services.
